|
|
Hi
I hope I am posting this in the correct Forum?
I use V1.0.14.0 and am very happy with it and do not wish to update to V2.0.0.4.
How can I stop getting a "New version available" notice every day please when I start up my PC, as it has become a nuisance I can do without.
You may ask why I do not upgrade? It is because having attempted it twice I have more important things to do with my limited time.
I run XP prof and Internet V7.0.5730.11
and yes I did clear the Browser cache and overrule the Microsoft warnings on download etc.
So now I wish to leave update for a few months whilst I am too busy to look at it again, and may be by then I have recieved a solution to what the download issues are and fixes that I can implement quickly.
I am an average skilled PC user and not a progwiz, and although I find your prog great for assisting me in time management it will only be so whilst it can REDUCE my work load and cause me no frustration. I know it is a free application, but with the future in view I give this feedback in the spirit of hopefully making a very usefull app even more so and making my life a little bit less frustrating.
Best Regards
Mike D
PS What is BBCode? |

| You can go to the options, and uncheck "check for updates on startup". |

Thank you, that has solved the problem, but another has arisen which you may be able to help me with?
I have for the last three days been presented on startup from Microsoft the option of six different browsers. I cannot find a way to stop this blocking my startup each day and so as I am using Internet Explorer 7 currently the obvious option is to select Internet Explorer 8 as I have no time to explore the other options. If I update to to Internet Explorer 8 will FastCheck still work as it is too important an app to loose, and can I then update to latest version without the probs I had with Internet Explorer 7? |

Yes, FastCheck should still work with IE8.
The screens you are getting in IE are because of the European regulations - Microsoft has to let you chose a Browser, they are not allowed to impose IE8 on you. |
